Snackify - Snacks for everyone.

A day without snacking is a day not lived. Okay, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but it's a motto our team likes to adhere to once a month, on Friday afternoons - Don't worry, the rest of the time we eat super healthy and even exercise together weekly. But every now and then we have a deliciously foul snack at our lunch. That sounds great, but organizing such a lunch is easier said than done. For example, our regular snack dealers have some issues with automation. An average French fry store, unfortunately, is not yet on SAP or AFAS. So... to prevent wrong orders (read: disappointed colleagues), we developed Snackify©.

Snackify?

Yes, Snackify© (Patent pending etc). Exactly how it works only our chief snack developer can explain, but what it does and how it works you are about to read. The particular Friday morning around 11:00 a.m. a Snackify© protocol is started. Turning it on happens behind the scenes, but the effect can be heard immediately. Cheers from various rooms. Everyone has received an email inviting them to the Snackify© page. At the touch of a button, anyone at Laméco can order their favorite snacks.

The Snackify© dashboard - which appears on the screens in each room - shows who has ordered which snacks. When all colleagues have placed an order, an automatic email is sent, with the complete order, to the lucky snacker who gets to bake (or cook.... no idea how this process works, maybe we'll make a blog about that too someday).

The future of Snackify©

Right now, Snackify© is still a project - much appreciated - in its infancy, but our ambitions are grotesque. For starters, a link with our favorite cafeteria's POS system is on the horizon. With such a link, we will remove all human factors from the Snackify© process. As a result, ordering snacks can always be done without error and the number of disappointed colleagues decreases to 0. For the less automated snack bar, we bring a version that transmits the order by phone.

That's not all. We are also going to give the design a major upgrade and Snackify© is even going to become an AI (artificial intelligence). Because we are turning Snackify© into an intelligent program, it can predict which snacks and sandwiches someone wants to order. Then it really will be just a click of a button.

Wanted!

Who will collaborate on our open-source version of Snackify©? We have big plans and want to roll out to Belgium ('PatattekesAfy') and Germany ('Würstafy') where we believe there are also many opportunities. Of course for South Africa we have the 'Bobotify'. Meanwhile, the UK has called for a 'Fish-&-Chips-a-fy'.
